I don't know what inspired me to add another gadget to my kitchen, but this is a good one:
So easy to use that the kids made the entire dinner with just a little supervision.
Here's the steps, in-brief:
1. Make pasta dough in the food processor. I used this recipe
here. I chose a recipe with 4 eggs in it because these guys need something to do:

2. Feed the dough through the rollers first at #3, then again at #6, then through the fettucini cutter. I watched
this video.
3. Cook pasta in salty, boiling water for 3-5 minutes, toss with browned butter, fresh parmesan and garlic.
We ate this with fava beans from the farmer's market.
Best. Dinner. Ever!
You can buy these on Amazon for well under $100, but I found mine on
eBay for about $25. These machines are built like tanks, so buying used can be a good option.
